HONORING COURAGE. REMEMBERING SACRIFICE. CONTINUING THE LEGACY.
Twenty-five years have passed since September 11, 2001 — a day that forever changed our City, our Nation, and our Department.
This week, Fire Commissioner Robert Tucker announced the FDNY’s yearlong plan to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the attacks — including the introduction of the Official 25th Anniversary 9/11 Ceremonial Mark, conceived and designed by Peter Arnell as a lasting symbol of remembrance, unity, and enduring service.
Every element of the mark carries the spirit of those who ran toward danger, the memory of those who never came home, and the pride of every member who wears the FDNY uniform today.
This effort is proudly supported by the FDNY Foundation, whose never-ending commitment and contribution continue to strengthen, sustain, and uplift the Fire Department of the City of New York and all who serve within it.
As we enter this twenty-fifth anniversary year, we honor the fallen, support the survivors, and continue the legacy of service that defines the FDNY.
We remember. We honor. We continue. We never forget.
